My approach

Therapy, at your pace.

A space where you feel genuinely heard, and able to explore your experiences without judgement.

What person-centred means

You are the expert in your own experience.

There is often no quick fix to the things that bring us to therapy, but having someone present alongside you can make the journey feel a little less daunting.

Therapy is a collaborative journey between two people, unravelling the knots of life, trying to understand the experiences that might have led you to this moment.

Come as you are. There is no expectation of knowing exactly what you want to talk about, no particular way you need to be, this is the space for you to figure it out.

Our relationship matters.

Research  has shown that the relationship between therapist and client is one of the most important factors to successful therapeutic outcomes.

01

Empathy

Taking the time to understand your experience from your perspective, rather than making assumptions about what you should be feeling.

02

Acceptance

A space where you can bring difficult thoughts, feelings and experiences without needing to hide or minimise them.

03

Authenticity

A therapeutic relationship built on human connection, where you can feel comfortable being yourself and exploring what matters to you.

What we might explore

One clear reason for therapy?

Sometimes we may have a clear idea of what we’d like to work through. But often, the starting point is simply a feeling that things aren’t quite right. We can begin wherever you are.

Anxiety · Low mood · Relationships · Identity · Grief & loss · Trauma · Life changes · Uncertainty

Starting therapy

What happens when we start?

01

A first conversation

We can start with a free 20-minute consultation – a chance to get to know each other and see whether working together feels right.

02

Beginning together

We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy and what you might hope to get from it, without needing to have everything figured out.

03

Taking it at your pace

Starting therapy can feel intimidating. There’s no pressure to share anything before you’re ready. We’ll take things at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
